No News is Not Bad News: Shipping Update

Hello everyone!
Just a quick update on the Mad Science Metal Meeples (and occasional accompanying Fairies), I have packed up all of the EU packages, and we are just waiting on a bit of paperwork with the shipping company we're working with to make these EU friendly. Once that clears, those will all be out the door. I'm sending out some of the other international orders today.
I'm behind schedule a bit, then, but it's been a rough few weeks, I'm sorry. Once we're just working on U.S. orders, things will go faster. Filling out Customs forms is one of the bottlenecks in this process.

Processing and Packing

Hello everyone!
We have the Mad Science meeples in hand, or at least, most of them. Not only did the order get split between two shipments inadvertently by Fed Ex (with a delay between the two), but the factory somehow missed sending us some of the Copper Mad Scientists (see photo below), so they are digging into that. I think we'll be OK without them, since I always order extras, but it might mean fewer of that color show up in the Putterer pledges than initially intended.
Still, we're being especially careful in packing things up for this reason, which takes a little longer, but we're working on things, and hope to get the big EU group sent out next week, and everything else after that (international first, then biggest first). My hope is to get them all sent out by the 20th, but we'll see if circumstances permit that.
Thank you all! I'll try to get some beauty photos up of these little guys and the new Airskiff prototypes, but we're making organization a priority at the moment. It's been a busy few days.

Hello everyone!
We received word that the Mad Science meeples are on their way to us. If the FedEx tracking is to be believed, we'll have them by the end of the month. It's over 100 pounds of metal gaming goodness, and I'm itching to sort it out and send goodies out to all of you.
Also, in tangential news, we're planning on having a small sales table at the Salt Lake Comic Con, where we'll have leftovers available from all of our Kickstarter projects. If you're at the con, please stop by! We'll have the Airskiff, Rocketeer and Sky Pirate prototypes there, too! We may even have the campaign for those done by then (late September), though production isn't likely, depending on how fast we can get these little guys sent out and the new campaign fired up.

Mini Update, Some Delay

Hello everyone!
The factory finally got back to me with a timeline, estimating production completion on June 20th. Shipping to us hasn't been estimated yet.
So... that's slower than I planned for. I am sorry. Something came up there, I guess, since they are usually much faster than that. Details haven't been forthcoming on that, but I really can't get them to work faster anyway.
At any rate, at least now we have that information. We're still in "hurry up and wait" mode, but knowing something is better than nothing.

Other news is thin, though we are certainly working on other projects while we are in the mostly-useless-production phase here. My time is largely consumed at the moment with sorting out a career change and finding new ways to pay the bills, but once the meeples get here, I have time budgeted to get them packed and sent out as quickly as we can. We'll see what other projects we can get rolling after we send these little folk out.

Fairies and Dragons, Minor Update

Hello everyone!
We received the Tinker Fairy meeples and the Dragon and Sky Pirate prototypes, so we're working on packing the Fairies for shipping. I have just a couple more bits of information that I need to place the order for the Mad Science meeples (I'm sorry, it's a week later than expected, but the factory is ready to go), so if you haven't filled out your survey, please do so. We'll get the order in by Monday.

So... no big news, just some photos to show and oh, yes, the design for the Airship, which I'm calling the Sky Skiff... for now. Maybe I'll wind up with something punchier for the campaign. Still, it's ready to go, and the factory is working on it while they wait these last couple of days for the final order count on the Mad Science meeples. This ship is designed so that all of the other meeples can ride on it, as if it's a personal steam/magic powered airship.
I tried a lot of designs, and will post sketches in my Pinterest later if I can get it working, but none of them really worked as part of this set. This smaller, more personal ship has a bit more room for intricacies, and the function of letting any of the meeples get in on the airborne action.
So, thank you all, and we're still looking good for June shipping. I'll let you know when we get more information.
